The walk-behind tractor has the advantages of light weight, compact model, flexible operation and strong adaptability. With different agricultural machinery, it can perform various field operations such as ploughing, rotary tillage, leveling, and soil crushing. Short-distance transportation is possible. When working in the field, due to the slow speed, accidents are generally less likely to occur. When engaged in road transportation, special attention should be paid to the safety issues of steering and connection.

Pay attention to the problem of steering. One is to try not to steer when starting; the other is to drive on a flat road or an uphill road, and when you need to steer to a certain side, hold the steering handle on that side tightly, the steering clutch on that side is disengaged, and the driving force on that side is cut off. When the rotational speed is lower than the rotational speed of the wheels on the other side, the tractor can achieve smooth steering; the third is the steering problem when going downhill. When you need to steer to a certain side, you should hold the steering handle on the other side tightly, which is called "reverse steering"; fourth, the situation when the accelerator is reduced is basically similar to that when going downhill, and steering should be avoided as much as possible.

Pay attention to the connection problem, and always check whether the connection is firm and reliable during the use of the vehicle. In the process of road transportation, if the connection is not firm or the connection pin sleeve has weld cracks, etc., it should be repaired in time to avoid the connection pin falling or the connection pin sleeve breaking, causing the front and the body to separate.

According to Article 23 of the "Regulations on Liability for Repair, Replacement and Return of Agricultural Machinery Products", three guarantees cannot be implemented for any mechanical failure caused by personal reasons. To this end, the majority of operators should pay attention to the following four points:

1. Carefully read the instruction manual of the machine, master the structure and performance, and avoid swallowing the dates wholeheartedly and being self-righteous.

Second, the operation of the machine should follow the operating procedures, and the maintenance should pay attention to the method.

3. The functions of agricultural machinery are limited, and there are regulations on the speed of heavy-duty vehicles. Avoid "small horse-drawn carts".

4. Resolutely do not operate the diseased machinery. Once the machinery is found to be faulty, the operation should be stopped immediately and maintenance should be carried out in time.
